Time to share my takes, both the searing hot and the blisteringly cold, with the greater music community. My name is Landon Stryker Bennett, and this is LSBops. The goal of this page is simple: to provide music fans with content review that isn’t rooted in obsession to seem counter culture (ahem, Pitchfork), set to prop up already prospering labels’ names, or pretention. All you really need to know at the end of the day is whether it was a bop or not. As LSBops, I aspire to provide content that helps music lovers discover new artists, expand their musical horizons, share in discussions with fellow community members, and more than anything else, get a chance to appreciate how music makes you feel.
Types of content to expect from the site
| Album Reviews | Your standard fare. These might be new albums, they might be classics that I feel like touching on, or installments in my quest to review the Rolling Stone‘s top 500 albums of all time. |
| New Music Highlights | Giving a platform to new artists or songs that are worth a listen. Highlights won’t be rated, but they’ll all be tunes with the LSBops seal of approval for you to spin. |
| Live Music Lookout | In the era of COVID, this seems like more of a question mark, but I promise that we’ll get to it. This kind of content will center around festivals with prime lineups or shows on tour that can’t be missed. |
